Jul’s Group is a Collection of Worldwide Restaurants

Jul’s Group operates several restaurants, with one in Ibiza, and its biggest being in Athens. They’re known for hosting a number of creative dishes, with the Spicy King Crab taglioni being a favourite amongst visitors. The main drive behind the new restaurant is to provide a farm-to-table approach by using locally sourced ingredients to support London vendors.

Christos Fotos, a Greek chef and co-founder of the London restaurant, also has a role to play in the Athens restaurant, named Humain by Jul’s. With a strong Hellenic influence, we can only expect the new London restaurant to follow a similar vibe. We do know that an Athens design studio has helped with the new restaurant design, using heritage architecture as well as mosaic floors and burnt wood to create a blend of shadow and mood lighting. We also know that there’s going to be a glass wine wall that runs the height of the ground floor, which is going to add a lot of visual interest.

Bringing the Wonders of Greece to London

Our love for Greece is undeniable, and that’s why the new restaurant is set to be such a success. The whitewashed villages that Greece is known for, as well as the myth and history of the country, have had a strong influence on the restaurant’s design and approach. If you look throughout history, it’s also clear to see that Greece has been an inspiration for the world, even outside of cuisine. Greece as a whole has inspired art, literature, and even cinema. Greek gods also hold a lot of cultural influence because they’re portrayed as being profoundly human at times.

Olympians and Titans, for example, are flawed, yet passionate, proud, and powerful, something which is reflected in the Homer epics, including the Iliad and Odyssey. Stories like this have inspired modern reinterpretations that pay homage to the history, including Clash of the Titans, which draws from the Ancient Greek pantheons. Online bingo games, like Age of the Gods bingo, also blend modern graphics and advanced game mechanics with ancient Greek gods.

Not only does this add weight to the game, as it draws from such a strong cultural influence, but it also brings history into the modern world, with gods like Zeus being associated with bigger wins, which reflect his position as the King of the Greek gods.

With ancient Greece having such a huge impact on our modern-day world, and with the new London restaurant putting a focus on Greek architecture with arches, marble, and earth tones, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more mythical elements like this worked into the aesthetic of Jul’s, as more details are released.

As one of the most exciting restaurant openings of 2026, it’s going to be exciting to see how Jul’s is going to bring Greece to London, through architecture, cuisine, design, and decor. If the other restaurants are anything to go by, we’re in for a treat.
