888Poker Live in London 2025 – what you need to know
England’s capital city has always been a hotspot for poker and this year will be no different. The 888poker live event is set to take place in September between 4th and 14th. The Vic poker room at Grosvenor Casino will be hosting the event, as it has done a number of times previously.
The Vic is one of the oldest and most famous poker rooms in the world. It has recently been undergoing refurbishment with a new state-of-the-art electronics lounge, slots machines, modernised gaming floor, new outdoor terrace and a new look card room.
Attending these events gives players the opportunity to meet other poker enthusiasts from around the world, play in prize pools that can run into the millions and begin by playing in qualifiers on the 888poker website. Attendees can also take in the wonderful sights in these prestigious cities.
London is one of the best tourist destinations in the world for city breaks. London is not the only city to be hosting 888poker live events, many cities across Europe have played host over the years. The tour began in January in Spain’s capital City, Madrid. The next stop will be in the UK at Glasgow, Scotland, between 13th and 23rd March. It’s then back to Spain between 8th and 18th May for the 888live event in Barcelona.
After the 888live poker stop in London in September, there will be a final stop on the tour in a mystery location (yet to be announced). The UKPL has six stops played for 2025. It kicked off in Portsmouth in January and will next take place up North in the City of Newcastle in April. Other hosts this year include Reading, Edinburgh, Liverpool and the final event will be in Coventry in November.

2023 888poker Live in London
In 2023, the 888poker live festival in London had the pinnacle £1,100 Main Event with a huge £367,500 prize pool up for grabs. The majority of the prize pool was dished out on Day Three of the event with 15 players returning to the table.
On the final day, after a tense eight hours at the table, it was the UK’s Dave Mcconachie who claimed victory over 385 other entrants and took home the coveted 888poker trophy and top prize of £83,100. Francis Obadun, also for the UK, came in second and took home a prize of £75,000. In third was Ryan Otto from New Zealand with £39,500 in poker winnings.
2022 888poker Live in London
In 2022, London was the first to host in January at The Vic poker room. It was an action packed few days with a total of 581 entries that made up a total prize pool of £232,400. Eventually, seasoned UK poker player Ciaran McCullagh came in first place and took home a fantastic prize of £40,487 after a deal at the final table.
Every 888poker Live event in London has been a huge hit with attendees and the 2025 live event in September is set to be no different!
