Hovarda
Where Aegean Spirit Meets Soho’s Heart
About Hovarda
Hovarda is a bar and restaurant in Soho with an Aegean theme, dressed in sea-blue tones and gold accents and run by well-dressed, attentive staff. The menu draws on the cooking of Greece and Turkey, with plenty of mezze and small plates made for sharing. Dishes run from seabass ceviche with citrus through to stuffed peppers filled with eggplant and pomegranate.
Seafood is the focus, and there's a daily pick of the freshest catches from the British Isles, including grilled John Dory and red mullet, kept simple to let the fish speak for itself.
The bar holds its own too. It's led by award-winning mixologist Cihan Anadologlu, whose cocktail list pulls classic drinks together with Mediterranean flavours, from reworked martinis to signature mixes. Between the food, the drinks and the room, it works as a place for dinner or for a night out in Soho.
