About Pastaio
Pastaio has been serving fresh handmade pasta in Soho since 2017. The restaurant was founded by British chef Stevie Parle, and the idea behind it is simple: good Italian food at prices most people can actually afford. The team makes the pasta by hand each morning, using seasonal produce from Italy and the UK.
There is an open kitchen, so you can watch the pasta being made while you eat. The menu changes with the seasons and runs to British meat and fish, fresh vegetables and proper sauces. Pastaio works with small growers and producers, paying fair prices for what comes in. Order the tagliatelle or the pappardelle and you will get the point. It is straightforward cooking done with care.
