About Blanchette
Step into Blanchette and you could be in a small Parisian bistro rather than the middle of Soho. The French restaurant was founded in 2013 by three brothers, Maxime, Malik and Yannis, and named after their mother, which tells you something about the family feel of the place. Maxime and Yannis bring 30 years of kitchen experience between them, gained in restaurants across London, New York and Paris.
The menu is built for sharing, running from small plates like Croque Monsieur and charcuterie to more substantial dishes with the Blanchette twist. There is a good list of French wines and classic cocktails to go alongside, and Malik, who works in sound design, puts together the soundtrack that keeps the room buzzing through the evening.
