Firebird is an open fire restaurant and wine bar in Soho. The cooking draws on the relaxed, simple traditions of the Mediterranean, with a menu built around grill dishes. Alongside the food you'll find draught cocktails and a wine list that leans on smaller, niche producers from across Europe.
From Monday to Friday, between 12pm and 2.30pm, there's a set lunch menu of three courses: a starter, a main and a dessert. The a-la-carte menu runs at the same time, with all of Firebird's signature dishes available.
Most of the menu is cooked over open fire using old techniques. Ingredients are slow-smoked and charred, then balanced against the sharpness of cured and preserved elements. The kitchen is led by Head Chef Giacomo Peretti, who works from his Italian roots and the open-fire methods that shape much of the cooking here.
