Harry Potter Shop Oxford StreetVerified
The UK's largest official Harry Potter shop, inspired by Diagon Alley
About Harry Potter Shop Oxford Street
The Harry Potter Shop Oxford Street opened on 4 November 2026, 25 years to the day after Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone had its world premiere in Leicester Square. Run by Warner Bros. Discovery, it fills 21,000 square feet over two floors of The Ribbon at 134-140 Oxford Street, making it the largest official Harry Potter shop in the UK. It joins the brand's flagships in New York, Chicago and Tokyo, and gives London a dedicated store on the Soho stretch of Oxford Street, between Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road.
A Diagon Alley you can shop
The design takes its cue from Diagon Alley, so both floors are laid out as themed spaces rather than plain retail aisles. A full-size Knight Bus stands ready for photographs, and a Ukrainian Ironbelly dragon looms over a Gringotts-inspired area, just as it did above the wizarding bank in the films. Exclusives made for this branch include a Diagon Alley wand, artwork inspired by the shop's own decor and a collectable set of Butterbeer labels. The personalisation counter adds names to Triwizard shirts and notebooks, and to the best-selling Hogwarts acceptance letter, printed with the name and address of whoever you choose.
Butterbeer at the Leaky Cauldron
Food and drink are part of the visit. The shop's own Leaky Cauldron, created exclusively for the Oxford Street flagship, serves Butterbeer frozen, hot or regular, alongside Butterbeer ice cream and a run of Butterbeer-inspired treats. With its beamed ceiling, brick walls and booth seating, it makes a natural pause between the two floors of shopping.
The Hogwarts Bear Ceremony
The headline experience is the Hogwarts Bear Ceremony, available only here, on the first floor opposite the exit of the Leaky Cauldron. You choose the qualities that shape your bear, its Hogwarts house is revealed in a short sorting ceremony, and it is dressed in a house robe, shirt, tie and scarf before going home in a collector's box with a certificate of authenticity. The ceremony takes five to seven minutes and costs £75, paid at the end. Timeslots are free to reserve online up to seven days ahead, and the bear cannot be bought any other way.
Planning a visit
The shop is open from 10am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and from midday to 6pm on Sunday. Tottenham Court Road station, on the Central, Northern and Elizabeth lines, is the nearest Tube. Fans can turn it into a longer wizarding afternoon in Soho: the graphic art behind the films is on show at House of MinaLima on Wardour Street, and wands and curiosities fill The Wands & Wizard Exploratorium on Greek Street.
