Polpo
A Slice of Venice in Soho
About Polpo
POLPO has been feeding Londoners Venetian-style sharing plates since 2009, taking its cue from the bàcari of Venice. The meal tends to start with cicheti, the small Venetian snacks, before moving on to larger dishes like pasta and pizzettes. Everything is meant to be shared, which makes for a sociable way to eat.
POLPO Soho is part of a small Venetian bàcaro chain and keeps an industrial-chic look, all stripped-back decor and stylish edges. The wine list leans local and pairs neatly with the small plates, and there is enough on the menu to suit most tables, from the cicheti to the heartier pasta and pizzettes.
