Suvlaki

Suvlaki is a casual Greek spot in Soho built around grilled meat skewers and stuffed pittas. The graffiti-covered interior keeps things relaxed, and there is a list of imported drinks to go with the food.

The souvlaki are the heart of it: small skewers of marinated meat grilled to order, in chicken, pork, lamb or beef. They come with soft, fluffy pita that does the job of scooping up the meat and toppings. If you want something lighter, there are Greek salads made with crisp vegetables and feta, plus dips like hummus and tzatziki. Save room for the baklava, the traditional filo, nut and honey dessert.
