The Palomar

The Palomar is an award-winning restaurant in Soho serving a modern take on Israeli cooking, with flavours drawn from Southern Spain, North Africa and the Levant. The menu runs to dishes like harissa-glazed chicken, sea bass with candied lemon and Josper-grilled flatbreads. The open kitchen gives the room plenty of energy, with guests able to watch their food being prepared.

The space is designed with an indoor-outdoor feel that suits the neighbourhood and lets diners take in the street outside. Service is warm and attentive, and the welcome is genuine from the moment you walk in. It is popular enough that there can be a wait, but most who come tend to return.
