Tongue & Brisket

Tongue & Brisket is a Soho sandwich shop built around home-cured, hand-carved meats, and its signature salt beef sandwiches in particular. It grew out of the B&K Salt Beef Bar, the family-run business that founder Bambos Georgiou has run since the 1950s. Georgiou also set up the Brass Rail in Selfridges' Food Hall, and the family bar has been going for more than three decades. Tongue & Brisket carries that on at its Soho location.

The menu stretches a little beyond salt beef, but the approach stays the same: simple food, done well, with quality ingredients. Service is fast, which makes it a good shout for a quick bite or a casual business lunch if you are passing through Soho.
