Yauatcha Soho
Dim sum, done with finesse.
About Yauatcha Soho
Yauatcha Soho opened on Broadwick Street in 2004 as the original site of the brand created by Alan Yau, and it now sits within the Hakkasan Group. It serves all-day Cantonese cooking, with the focus on dim sum, artisan tea and a patisserie counter. The space runs over two levels: pastry displays on the ground floor and a darker basement that gives glimpses of the kitchen. The menu takes in classic dumplings, wok dishes and modern specials, with set options such as Infinite Yum Cha at weekends. Two decades in, the cooking shows in delicate wrappers, clean broths and a tea list arranged for easy choices. It works for a quick lunch, a pre-theatre stop or a late treat.
Yauatcha Soho holds a current MICHELIN Guide listing and keeps reservations, pricing and service details out in the open. Staff explain dishes in plain English and allergen information is to hand. Weekends bring the popular set menus, and the patisserie counter offers handmade macarons and petits gâteaux to eat in or take away. With counter views upstairs and an intimate dining room below, it is easy to choose how you want to visit.
