Denman Place is one of Soho's smallest cut-throughs, a short service lane off Denman Street at the Piccadilly Circus end of the district, running behind the buildings that face Great Windmill Street. Blink on the walk up from the Tube and you will miss it, which is very much in character for this corner of Soho, where Ham Yard and its hotel courtyard sit a few doors away. The lane carries a handful of back entrances and the occasional business address, and like many of Soho's alleys it earns its keep quietly, serving the streets around it rather than performing for them.
