Tisbury Court is a short cul-de-sac running off Wardour Street, effectively an eastward extension of the Old Compton Street line. The origin of the name is not documented, unlike many of its better-recorded neighbours.
For decades the court was associated with the sex trade and adult venues, part of Soho's late-20th-century reputation. A faded painted ghost sign survives on one wall and is logged by local heritage records. Today the short run mixes small offices and residential flats above, with the adult-entertainment presence much reduced from its peak.
