All About

Blore Court

Blore Court is a short cul-de-sac running east off Berwick Street, at number 3, in the W1F part of Soho. It is a public highway maintained by Westminster Council, with rough brick walls and uneven paving, and is often screened from view by the fruit and vegetable stalls of the market in front of it.

The court was built over after the Second World War. It takes its name from the architect Edward Blore, who designed St Luke's church on Berwick Street, consecrated in 1839. Today it remains a working back court behind the market street rather than a destination in its own right.
